Here at Muskegon Lakeshore Figure Skating Club our purpose is to encourage the instruction, practice, and advancement of our members in free skating, ice dancing, pairs, and moves-in-the-field; to encourage a fraternal feeling among members; to sponsor, to produce, or cooperate in the production of amateur ice shows and competitions.

Susie Kelly has been a figure skating coach for 16 years. Susie is a Member of USFSA & PSA and is CER (Continuing Education Requirement) Category A certified. She has worked with Master Rated Freestyle, Moves and Choreography coaches. She has also coached many skaters to Regional’s at the qualifying level. Susie believes skating should come from the heart, it must be fun and you should have personal goals to meet as a skater to develop who you will become. She is also personally driven by competitive skaters and loves to compete.
Elizabeth Marks was previously a skater at Muskegon Lakeshore Figure Skating from 2000 through 2010. She has completed USFSA testing through Novice Moves in the Field and Intermediate Free Skate. Elizabeth also competed in qualifying Juvenile at Regionals and Michigan’s state finals for high school club figure skating. During her years as an MLFSC skater, she taught Basic Skills, and she is currently a Learn to Skate coach. Elizabeth is a Member of USFSA and is excited to begin coaching private lessons.
Kayla has now been coaching for over 10 years. Kayla is a member of USFSA and is CER (Continuing Education Requirement) Category B certified. She has been on MLFSC board as President, Vice President, Competition Chair, and Sanctions. Currently, Kayla is also one of MLFSC’s Learn to Skate Coordinators. She loves working with skaters of all ages.
Jon Whitbeck provides on-ice jump harness training and video analysis for skaters working on axels, double jumps, and triple jumps. Jon has competed in Intermediate Freestyle and Novice Pairs.
